['vaɪzənə], Gerald Robert, amerikanischer Schriftsteller, * Minneapolis (Minnesota) 22. 10. 1934; Angehöriger des Ojibwa- beziehungsweise Chippewa-Stammes in Minnesota; Professor für American Indian Studies an der University of Minnesota. In seinen Gedichten (meist in Haiku-Form) und Romanen greift er das Naturverständnis und die Mythen, aber auch die Alltagsrealität seines Stammes auf; ist auch als Herausgeber von Anthologien zur indianischen Literatur hervorgetreten.
